Trophy Procedures and Point System PoliciesPP-9.1 TROPHY AWARDS: (Adopted 6/4/96, Amended 2/2/00)1. The following individuals may be awarded trophies: a. Members. b. Associate Members. c. Member’s children under 16 years of age. PP-9.2 RULES FOR FISHING TROPHIES: (Adopted 6/4/96)1. Trophies will be awarded for Trout, Striped Bass, Black Bass, Catfish, Steelhead, Salmon, Rockfish, Sturgeon and Ocean fish (Skates, Rays and Sharks shall not be eligible as Ocean fish). 2. Point System for all species of fish: a. Length in inches plus weight in pounds determines total points. b. Length shall be measured from the tip of the nose to the longest part of the fail (Example: 30 inches in length plus 15 pounds weight equals 45 points). 3. All fish must be taken within the territorial limits of North America (Except Ocean fish) and by any legal means. 4. Any trout resembling a Rainbow or Steelhead Trout taken in water that is used by Salmon for spawning purposes or any waters that Salmon travel through to reach their spawning grounds shall be classified as a Steelhead Trout. 5. Trophy cards must be filled in with all pertinent information and signed by the member. It shall be verified by a bait shop, sports shop or a Club Member in good standing. PP-9.3 RULES FOR HUNTING TROPHIES (FUR): (Adopted 6/4/96)1. Trophies will be awarded for the following: a. Coastal Deer, Sierra Deer, or out of state deer (All by legal means). b. Antelope, Elk, Pig, Bear, Moose and Caribou (in or out of state by and legal means). 2. Point System: a. Deer. The additive total of the following measurements determine the total points for the deer. b. Length of both main beams. c. Widest spread inside. d. Girth at the base of both antlers. e. Elk, Antelope, Moose and Caribou by Boone and Crockett scoring system. f. Pig and Bear by field dressed weight. 3. All measurements shall be made by a member of the Trophy Committee only. All measurements shall be made only at the clubhouse on meeting nights. Members tag must be attached to the antlers/horns. If out of state game has only a carcass tag, then it must accompany the antlers/horns. 4. For Pig and Bear, the animal shall be weighed and weight verified by a club member in good standing or an individual who weighed the animal (i.e., Fish and Game, Sport Shop or store with scale, etc). Weight verification slip shall be attached to the trophy card. If possible, a photo of the animal shall be submitted to a member of the Trophy Committee. PP-9.4 RULES FOR HUNTING TROPHIES (FEATHER): (Adopted 6/4/96)1. Trophies shall be awarded for Pheasant, Turkey, Ducks, Geese and Quail. 2. Point System: a. Pheasant tail feather must be measured by a member of the Trophy Committee on a meeting night. b. Turkey by weight verified by a Club Member in good standing or individual who weighed the turkey (i.e., Fish and Game, Sport Shop or store with scale, etc). Weight verification slip shall be attached to the trophy card. If possible a photo of the turkey shall be submitted to a member of the Trophy Committee. c. Ducks, Geese and Quail shall be measured by wing spread and verified by a Club Member in good standing or a member of the Trophy Committee, preferably on a meeting night. If possible a photo of the measurement shall be submitted to a member of the Trophy Committee. PP-9.5 GENERAL: (Adopted 6/4/96)1. All decisions of the Trophy Committee are final. 2. When at all possible, Trophy Committee members should verify all trophies. 3. Trophy Committee members will try to accommodate Club Members and may be contacted for verification of game other than meeting nights since game will not keep and no other verification has been made. 4. The trophy year shall be from January 1st through December 31st of each calendar year. All trophy cards should be submitted to the Trophy Committee or placed in the trophy box as soon as possible, but no later then 45 days after the fish or game has been taken. The deadline for all trophy cards shall be January 7th of the following year to allow sufficient time for all December entries. 5. No trophy cards will be accepted by the Trophy Committee unless the bearer is a member in good standing with his/her dues paid up by the June meeting (except for new members initiated after that meeting). 6. Any member (Wife, Husband, or Child) submitting a falsified entry card shall not be permitted to participate in, or be eligible for an awards for five years. |
